We know that understanding the health insurance rules and options is a difficult task. Yes, that includes almost all of us. Unless you continually study and research like our licensed agents, no one can expect you to make sense of the available insurance selections. We’re here to help.
Finding the right insurance plan for your unique circumstances is complicated. Our agents are educated, trained and up to date on federal and state rules and regulations. Their expertise and enrollment services are offered at no charge to our clients.
When you are approaching the age of 65, Medicare is top of mind—and there are a lot of questions. We help our clients understand the rules about when to sign up and the benefits that go along with it. Unfortunately, we see some people who missed out on benefits they were entitled to because they were misinformed about the rules. It is our goal to help everyone understand the benefits that are available to them.
Let’s talk specifically about Medicare Advantage, also known as Part C, which is an affordable health insurance policy that is a good choice for many of our clients. It’s likely that you’ll save money with Medicare Advantage and receive coverage that is ideal for your health situation. Your potential out-of-pocket costs depend on many variables, such as whether you are paying monthly premiums, deductibles, etc. These plans have an annual limit on what you’ll pay out of pocket for Medicare Part A & B services. Once you’ve reached that limit, you pay nothing more for Part A & B covered services for the remainder of that year!
With Medicare Advantage, you typically receive prescription drug coverage, also known as Part D, so you don’t need to worry about adding another prescription plan or Medicare Supplement. Another great feature is that many of these plans also offer dental, vision, hearing, etc. Ask us about this plan, and we’ll give you details on how costs would be calculated for your specific situation. This might be the one for you!
We also provide information and enrollment for Medicare Supplement Plans. Once you have Medicare Parts A & B, you’ll likely need a supplement policy, Part C, and Part D for your prescriptions. These plans can help you fill gaps in coverage to help pay for deductibles, copayments, supplies and medical services not fully covered by Medicare. You might hear this referred to as Medigap coverage. We have many choices for this type of additional coverage, including the Silver Premium Medicare Advantage plans. We can clarify the information on these plans and get you set up with the right plan for your health conditions and financial situation.
For our veterans, we make sure to discuss plans that can be combined with their veteran programs, so they can use whichever plan works best for them on each occasion. We find that, sometimes, they prefer to have an appointment at a local medical center rather than travel to a VA facility, and they can have both options available to them.
Affordable Care Act plans are available depending on income levels and family size. We can talk about how this might apply to you.
Ask us about Expanded Medicaid enrollment. If you qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid, we can enroll you into one of our amazing Dual Special Needs Plans. These have provided huge value for many clients.
Clients often ask about dental insurance which is important to our families, and we have options to meet those needs. We know it’s worrisome to be without dental insurance; therefore, we can help you select a plan that can cover dental visits and procedures that you might be anticipating.
We also have vision, life, short-term medical, disability and indemnity (fee-for-service) plans available. Ask our friendly agents—they are experts in all types of health insurance. It’s important to us that we understand what is a priority for you, so we can talk with you about plans that make sense for you and your family.
